Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o is an award-winning, world-renown Kenyan writer and academic who writes primarily in Gikuyu. His work includes novels, plays, short stories, and essays, ranging from literary and social criticism to children's literature. He is the founder and editor of the Gikuyu-language journal Mũtĩiri.

While



Chinua Achebe was a Nigerian novelist, poet, professor, and critic. His first novel Things Fall Apart, often considered his best, is the most widely read book in modern African literature. He won the Man Booker International Prize in 2007

Lol, that's like asking me who is better between my dad and my mum. Difficult to say, both are iconic figures that have given the African Literature a great shape. Still I will go for Chinua Achebe.
