Boston Review’s 2019 Aura Estrada Short Story and Annual Poetry Contest by Akinjidetayo(m) : 3:27 am On May 10
Ever dreamed of winning the Aura Estrada short story prize and/or the Boston Review Annual Poetry prize? Great! I’ve got good news for you. Both prizes are currently open until the 20th of June 2019.
What’s more? There is no entry fee for writers who live outside the US, Canada and Western Europe. Isn’t that wonderful.
Everything you should know about the submissions guidelines:
All poems and stories must reflect the 2019 theme: Allies.
1. For short stories: 5000 words or less.
2. For poems: up to 5 poems or 10 pages, whichever comes first.
Cover notes aren’t necessary.
Remove all identifying information from the stories. Entries will be judged blindly and without bias.
All entries much be in English; translations done in collaboration with the author are welcome.
Only unpublished stories will be accepted.
Simultaneous submissions aren’t allowed. You have time to withdraw an already submitted story or poem, if you’d like to enter it for the contest.

All submissions must be send via the Boston Review Submittable page
Remember to click the right button (paid or free.
Remove your names from the attached story. Put only the story title.
Winners for both prizes will receive $500 each.
Runners Up will be published in the Allies issue.
