Authors have different tools for ensuring they process their thoughts, gather ideas and spread their information to the world. These are the top five tools used by Ibitola Ojoye- Adebayo.
She is a multi-award winning author of the bestselling 'Acceptance series and Lizzy Adams, which she had been used to strongly advocate for the girl child. She hosts an online show 'Insight of an Author', which now has its office in Lagos, Nigeria. She is a presenter and a motivational speaker, who has won the Nigerian Women Achiever's Award 2018, Diaspora Writer at the Nigerian Writers Award 2016, Best Author at BEFTA Awards UK among others. Google Docs: this is a word doc. by Google. It allows you to automatically save your work in the clouds and can open documents created by any other software for writing. It also became popular because of the way it allows a particular document accessible to those given the permission to so. In other words, it is made available worldwide. Google Doc allows people working in a remote place, work together on the same document at the same time. The feedbacks and changes are automatically saved. According to Ibitola, it has become my go-to word processor when I’m not typing in Microsoft Word. I highly recommend it if you’re collaborating with another person on a writing project
Grammarly is a proofreading tool that helps you spot grammatical errors, typos, and awkward sentences.
Trello is a fantastic web application for organizing and planning writing projects and working collaboratively.
Canva is a user-friendly graphic design software with a wide range of drag and drop templates. You can use Canva to create stunning graphics for Facebook and Pinterest or design a beautiful eBook and book covers.
Hubspot’s Blog Topic Generator helps you come up with a week’s worth of relevant blog post titles in a matter of seconds. It’s perfect when you’re facing writer’s block.
